In the automobile industry, dealerships frequently offer promotional schemes to encourage vehicle sales and enhance customer satisfaction. These schemes may include cash discounts, exchange bonuses, corporate offers, seasonal promotions, complimentary accessories, extended warranty benefits, or other manufacturer and dealership-specific offers.
In GainDMS, these promotional offers are managed through the Scheme functionality. Once a vehicle booking has been created, the applicable scheme can be linked to the booking, ensuring that the customer receives the eligible benefits as defined by the dealership or manufacturer.
This article explains how to apply a scheme to an existing vehicle booking in GainDMS.
A scheme allows dealerships to provide promotional benefits to eligible customers while maintaining transparency and consistency in the sales process.
By linking schemes to vehicle bookings, dealerships can:
Apply eligible promotional offers to a customer booking.
Automatically calculate discounts for discount-based schemes.
Maintain accurate records of promotional benefits provided.
Ensure that sales transactions comply with ongoing marketing offers.
Applying the correct scheme also helps maintain accurate pricing and improves customer satisfaction by ensuring that all eligible benefits are provided during the sales process.
To apply a scheme to an existing booking, follow the navigation path below:
Sales → Vehicle Sales
The Vehicle Sales Worksheet will be displayed.
Open the required Sale Code for which the scheme needs to be applied.
This opens the Customer Center screen.
From the Customer Center, select the Schemes option.
The Product Sale Scheme screen will be displayed.
The Product Sale Scheme screen displays all active schemes that are applicable to the selected vehicle.
If one or more eligible schemes are available, they will be listed on the screen.
Select the required scheme by enabling the corresponding checkbox.
If the selected scheme requires a voucher, enter the applicable Voucher Code.
The voucher code is used to validate customer eligibility for specific promotional offers. If the scheme does not require a voucher, this field can be left blank based on your organization's business process.
If the selected scheme provides a discount, the discount can be entered in either of the following ways:
Percentage-wise discount
Amount-wise discount
Choose the appropriate method based on the promotion being offered.
Note: If the selected scheme is configured as a Discount Scheme, the system automatically applies the discount to the respective vehicle booking immediately after the scheme is added.
After selecting the required scheme and entering the necessary details:
Verify the scheme information.
Click Add Selected.
The selected scheme will be linked to the vehicle booking.
Once added successfully, the scheme becomes part of the customer's booking details and all applicable promotional benefits are reflected in the sales transaction.
Suppose a customer books a new vehicle during a festive season when the dealership is offering a Festival Discount Scheme.
After creating the vehicle booking, the sales executive opens the booking, navigates to the Schemes section, and selects the eligible festival scheme. If the promotion requires a voucher, the voucher code is entered before applying the scheme.
Since the selected scheme is configured as a discount scheme, GainDMS automatically applies the eligible discount to the booking amount. This ensures that the customer receives the promotional benefit and the sales transaction accurately reflects the revised pricing.
A scheme can only be applied after the vehicle booking has been created.
Only schemes that are active and applicable to the selected vehicle are displayed.
Enter the voucher code if it is mandatory for the selected scheme.
Discounts can be applied either as a percentage or as a fixed amount, depending on the scheme configuration.
Discount-based schemes automatically update the booking with the applicable discount.
After clicking Add Selected, the scheme becomes associated with the respective vehicle booking.
